Call for Papers
Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization
Special Issue on Optimization in Decision Science

In today’s ultra-competitive global business environment, optimization methods play a crucial role in helping organizational managers make the right decisions at the right times. Hence, there is a natural interplay between the areas of mathematical optimization, management science, and industrial engineering. This interplay was one of the main themes of the 9th International Conference on Optimization Techniques and Applications (ICOTA 2013), which was held successfully in Taipei, Taiwan in December 2013.

 

To commemorate ICOTA 2013, Prof. Kok Lay Teo, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization (JIMO), has invited Prof. Yi-Kuei Lin  (yklin@mail.ntust.edu.tw) and Dr. Ryan Loxton (r.loxton@curtin.edu.au) to edit a special issue of JIMO titled “Optimization in Decision Science”. JIMO is published by the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMs) and is indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded.

Researchers are hereby invited to submit high-quality papers to this special issue of JIMO. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • System optimization
  • Management science
  • Heuristics
  • Architectures and networks
  • Production, manufacturing and logistics
  • Computing and artificial intelligence
  • Information management
  • Multi-objective optimization
  • Soft computing

Authors should submit their manuscripts (in PDF or Word format) via email to the Guest Editors before the submission deadline. Submitted papers must not be previously published, nor should they be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be peer-reviewed in accordance with the usual high standards of JIMO.
